Surprisingly, Internet Lists Offers Insights into Get Wealthy First

Dear One,

Perhaps you have seen this email that has been cycling through cyberspace for a while, but it came back through yesterday sent by my brother.

See if you can discern how it fits with the Get Wealthy First Program? (http://getwealthyfirst.com/)

Just a few questions:

You don't have to actually answer the questions... Just read the e-mail. You'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.

2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America Contest.

4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. They are not second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?

The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are NOT the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones who care.

So, do you see how this fits The Get Wealthy First Program? Invest where it counts.

Blessings,

William

P.S. let your loved ones know about this

Isn’t This Beautiful?

The Get Wealthy First Program I’m crafting for you is about living in the present and discovering deep wealth, right.

Here’s the painting by Kate Cutler I chose to be on the covers of the manuals and such.

Isn’t This Beautiful?

* * *

Kate wrote this lovely note to me & she gave me permission to share it with you. She demonstrates the whole point of The Get Wealthy First Program beautifully --

Going into your site today, I was fascinated. No, I had no idea that you were "art related" as well. Wonderful.

Reading about how difficult it is/was for you to call yourself an artist I
was reminded of my doing the same. Always I have been a 'designer' but never an artist.

It was in my senior year in art school (age 52) that I was angrily muttering over a technical problem I was trying to resolve in my Interior Design thesis. One of the professors came up to me said, "that's because you are an artist!" I said, "A WHAT"??? Never did it enter my mind and I really couldn't absorb it either.

After being divorced a year later, I had to turn to something to make money and the rest is history. I started in my parent's garage/workshop amidst dust and band saws and carved out just enough room for my drafting table.

Several years later, I built my (now) home and studio, a converted bunch of shops in town, but it still took me a while to hang out my sign! It was a weird identity, and now I can't imagine anything else. I am totally an artist in every sense. AND, I have discovered other artists on both sides of my family since. Never too late I say. It's been a new beginning and life.

House Beautiful has published my little cottage, so I feel my ID degree was christened as well.

Some of us just take a little longer to be found. Guess past tense doesn't work for that one. Still at it:)

Katie

May you be blessed by her story and her art.

Again:

Today, like every other day, we wake up empty and frightened. Don’t open the door to the study and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument.

Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.

And stay tuned for updates and surprises for The Get Wealthy First Program.
